Wild Yams Reading Circle w/ Tarnynon Onumonu, May 16th

Wild Yams Reading Circles feature Black women and nonbinary creatives leading informal discussion on short texts of their choosing by Black women centering important themes such as motherhood, rest, labor, self care, and more, with the intention of using these discussions as a basis for growth, healing, and self-love.

A few spots are left for tomorrow—Tuesday, May 16th for the first edition of Wild Yams Reading Circle featuring Black femme Chicago poet Tarnynon Onumonu. Tarnynon will lead a discussion on a component of self care that is rarely prioritized, the space of breaking through works by Gwendolyn Brooks and contemporary Chicago artist Sierra Jackson. Happening at Wild Yams Studios @ THE cre.æ.tive ROOM, 7034 S MLK Dr. Register here.
